Project status at the beginning of the work

At the beginning, the project had low search engine rankings for targeted keywords related to the production of cardboard boxes and packaging. The content was presented in a limited amount, without proper optimization for key queries.

How we promoted the project

A set of measures was implemented to promote the website in the cardboard packaging production niche:

  • Development of the terms of reference (TOR) for the introduction of the Ukrainian language in accordance with the law. All the requirements of Ukrainian legislation regarding language standards on the website were met.

  • Technical audit. A full technical audit of the website was carried out to identify and eliminate problems that impede effective promotion.

  • On-page analysis of competitors. A detailed analysis of competitors at the page level is carried out to identify their strengths and weaknesses.

  • Off-page analysis of competitors. We studied external factors of competitors' promotion, including links, to develop a strategy to improve our website's position.

  • Terms of reference for optimization of the builder pages. The builder pages have been revised to improve their functionality and search engine optimization.

  • Terms of reference for optimization and creation of new blog pages. The terms of reference for optimization of existing blog pages and creation of new blog pages have been prepared. A commercial style was added to these pages: integration of buttons leading to the constructor and the use of commercial keywords. The blogs talked about different types of cardboard boxes that could be ordered on the website, such as boxes with handles, boxes for bedding, and premium packaging. Thanks to the high-quality development of the blog, we managed to significantly increase traffic.

  • Terms of reference with a case structure for the client. A structure for case pages was developed and provided to the client.

  • Recommendations for the main page of the site + call tracking. We provided recommendations for improving the main page and integrating the call tracking system.

  • Redirect map for blog articles. A redirect map has been prepared to maintain and improve the position of articles.

  • Buying links. A link buying strategy was implemented to increase the authority of the site and improve its position in search results.

Results.

The results of promoting the website of a cardboard box manufacturer were reflected in an increase in organic traffic and conversions. Graph of traffic growth during the promotion period:

Indicators at the beginning of the project (from June 1 to 30, 2023) compared to indicators after 5 months (from November 1 to 30, 2023):

  • the number of users increased by 111.46%

  • the number of new users increased by 108.74%

  • the number of sessions increased by 110.63%.

Orders were accepted through the website using the order builder, and although only a part of the visitors who came from organic traffic used it, the number of completed orders using the builder increased during the promotion (taking into account the natural seasonal decline in order activity):

  • the number of users increased by 39.77

  • the number of sessions increased by 31.25%

One of the indicators of the success of our SEO promotion was the improvement of the site's position in the target key queries:

  • 44% of key queries are in the top 10 of search results.

  • A significant number of keywords were ranked in the top 1-3. These keywords included both general queries related to cardboard boxes and more specialized queries focused on certain types of packaging. Some of the queries were brought to the top from the second and subsequent search pages.

  • Also, some of the frequency queries were promoted higher in the TOP 10 to the TOP 3, which allowed them to collect more clicks from search.

Conclusions.

In the process of working on the project, significant results were achieved in the field of SEO, which has already had a positive impact on the site's performance. Among the achievements:

  1. Growth of organic traffic. Thanks to content optimization, technical adjustments, and work with keywords, we have significantly increased the flow of quality traffic to the site. This allowed us not only to increase traffic but also to improve user interaction with the content.

  2. Improved positions in search engines. The site has significantly risen in search results for targeted queries, which has increased its visibility to potential customers. This allowed us to take a leading position in the niche and draw more attention to the services or products offered.

  3. Increased conversions. Thanks to our work on the site structure and landing page optimization, the conversion rate has increased significantly. Visitors were more active in performing the necessary actions on the site (filling out forms, making purchases, subscribing), which proves the effectiveness of the implemented solutions.
